- Clear Expectations
Any professional photographer you work with should communicate in advance what the goals are, what the deliverables will be, when they will be delivered and the process of working with them. If you are unclear before your session what is going to happen and how it is going to happen, that is not good service. I like my clients to have clear expectations so that nobody is out time or money for something that isn't what they wanted.
- Timely Responses
You shouldn't have to pull teeth to hear back from a business... or at least this is the motto I live by. I understand that folks may go on vacation or have an unforeseen event, but even then, you can always put on an autoresponder (again, clear expectations) to let your clients know. I try to respond within 24 hours of any inquiry... even if it's to let you know I need to research an answer before getting back to you.
- A Great Experience
Again, this should be F-U-N! I mean it, photos are not scary and boring... or at least I don't think it should be. We can pick things you like to do in places you like to be... there, that's half the battle. Now if you're nervous on the wedding day... I can distract you with some random facts about documentaries I was binge watching on Netflix (it's a guilty pleasure).
- Return on Investment
Because this is an investment. I take your time (and your money) seriously. I work hard for my paycheck too. I want you to be happy with the results. And I want you to walk away with materials that produce the best products. That means I'm going to ensure you have high-resolution digitals. And I work with only the best print shops for printing your photos. I want to make sure of color accuracy, archival quality paper and time-tested results. It does cost a bit more, but it will ensure your keepsakes last for generations.
- Pretty Pictures!
Because, yes, that is what *most* people hire a photographer for right? But going through steps 1-4 almost guarantees you'll get what you paid for, a great experience with memorable images.
